The Atirmatic is equipped with two vats, one vat to wash the vegetables and one counter basin for the collection of dirt and soil, which is separated from the product during the washing operation. This prevents dirt and soil being transported with the vegetables unlike some other systems. The water in the counter basin is kept still, allowing the dirt to be easily conveyed to the discharge. This system is patented by Nilma and is unique to the Atirmatic. The Atirmatic is equipped with an extremely efficient double water whirl turbulence control system. This makes the machine suitable for washing all types of vegetable, fruit & fish. The whirl intensity can be regulated according to the individual product. The vegetables move in a helical motion caused by the whirl of clean water, making them move forward and eliminating impurities in the process.
The capacity of the washing drum is 500 litres. The output is 400 / 500 kg / hour for light vegetables and approximately 800 kg / hour for heavy vegetables and fruit.
During the washing operation the machine automatically keeps the water level constant. To ensure suitable water re-cycling the drain valve needs to be opened according to the condition of the product to be washed. If very dirty, it will be necessary to feed a higher quantity of fresh water and open the drain valve more.
According to the type of product, it is possible to adjust the water intensity by operating the first and second washing valves. Energetic washing is recommended for heavy vegetables and fruit, whilst delicate washing is better suited to light vegetables or delicate products to avoid damage.
The Atirmatic has a product discharge conveyor belt which takes the product away from the water. Above this conveyor belt the machine is equipped with a product rinsing device which jets clean mains water. This rinsing operation is important in case chemicals like chlorine are used. This feature is not present on some competitive equipment.
The finishing and compact footprint of the Atirmatic makes the machine particularly suitable for an installation where space is at a premium and ease of cleaning is important.
The Atirmatic is easy to disassemble by hand without the use of tools. This is important especially for sanitising operations. Even the belt can be taken away and easily washed. The machine is completely accessible for cleaning and inspection.
